French Drain Installation & Site Drainage – North Georgia

Bulldog Septic & Site Services recently completed a French drain and foundation drainage project in North Georgia for a custom home builder. Proper drainage around a new home is critical for protecting the foundation and preventing groundwater from entering the basement.

Our crew installed an approximately 18-inch French drain system along the basement footer, utilizing *perforated Schedule 40 PVC pipe surrounded by drainage gravel* to collect and redirect groundwater away from the foundation. The drainage system was designed to help prevent water intrusion through the basement walls and protect the home from future moisture problems.

Once the drainage piping extended beyond the foundation, we transitioned from perforated pipe to solid Schedule 40 PVC and routed the discharge line to the wood line at the edge of the property, providing a dedicated outlet that continuously directs water away from the home.
